Two Sustain Injuries in Crash on Crawfordville Highway in Crawfordville, Florida
CRAWFORDVILLE, FL — According to an online report at wtxl.com, the Florida Highway Patrol says that a woman from Tallahassee, Florida sustained serious injuries following a multi-vehicle crash on Crawfordville Highway.*
The accident happened in the morning hours earlier this week at the intersection of Zion Hill Road and Crawfordville Highway. The Florida Highway Patrol indicates that a driver of a Ford Explorer, a female, aged 30, from Tallahassee was going northbound on Crawfordville Highway while a driver of a GMC Suburban was stopped and waiting to turn onto Zion Hill Road. The female driver ended up rear-ending the back of the GMC Suburban.
Upon impact, the woman’s Ford rotated about 80 degrees before coming to a final stop. During this time, the Ford was then hit by a Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep rotated 90 degrees before coming to a complete stop.
The woman sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the of the Jeep was reportedly uninjured, however, a passenger in the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
Due to the accident, there was a complete roadblock in the area. The female driver was cited for careless driving.
The accident remains under investigation by local authorities. There are no further details on the accident at this time.
