Accident Occurs on the Mike Padgett Highway in Augusta, Georgia

AUGUSTA, GA – According to an online news report at, lanes have opened up once again on the Mike Padgett Highway earlier this week.*  

The accident occurred in the early morning hours on Mike Padgett Highway located at Lumpkin Road.   Injuries were reported and emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene of the accident.  Two lanes of the highway were required to be shut down due to the crash, but they have since been reopened to traffic.  

There are no further details on the accident at this time.  The crash remains under investigation by the local police.
