Fatal Two-Vehicle Accident Occurs at Market of Marion in Marion County, Florida

MARION COUNTY, FL. – According to an online news report posted at, a fatal two-vehicle accident occurred at the Market of Marion in Marion County, Florida. The collision resulted in the tragic death of one person, according to the report, and authorities are in the process of investigating to determine what caused the crash.* 

The accident happened on a private roadway at the Market of Marion, which is a flea market in the county. Florida Highway Patrol and ClickOrlando report that two vehicles were headed west on the roadway, and one of them crashed into the back of the other. The first vehicle then reportedly crashed into the second two additional times before the vehicles came to a rest. 

Troopers do not yet know what led to the accident or what circumstances were involved. They are not certain how the vehicles came to collide. The makes and models of the two vehicles were not reported, so it is not clear what types of vehicles they were. The exact location of the crash was not included in the news report.

ClickOrlando reports that the driver of the first vehicle was injured in the wreck, and emergency crews took him or her to Ocala Regional Hospital, where the person tragically died. No identifying information about this person was reported. 

ClickOrlando further reports that the driver of the second vehicle was also injured and taken to Ocala Regional Hospital. This person’s injuries were said to be non-life threatening. He or she was also not identified in the report. The report does not say whether any passengers were in either of the two vehicles at the time of the crash. 

The accident remains under investigation at this time. Florida Highway Patrol Troopers have not released additional details about the wreck or the investigation to the news media.
