Three-Vehicle Crash on Hwy 133 in Worth County, Georgia, Causes One Fatality

WORTH COUNTY, GA. – According to an online news report published at, a three-vehicle crash that happened on Highway 133 in Worth County, Georgia, caused one fatality. Authorities have released identifying information on the victim, and the report indicates the investigation is still ongoing by Georgia State Patrol.* 

The accident occurred in the late afternoon on the southbound side of Highway 133, close to Bridgeboro Anderson City Road. The Worth County Sheriff’s Office and WALB report that authorities were dispatched to this area at about 3:30 p.m. on a report of a multi-vehicle wreck. The wreck reportedly involved a total of three vehicles, and injuries had been sustained. 

The report does not describe the vehicles or provide any of the vehicles’ makes and models. It is not clear what events led to the accident or how the accident took place. The report does not provide information about the nature of the crash or in what way the vehicles came to collide. Limited information regarding the circumstances leading to the accident was included in the news report, as investigation was in its preliminary stages at the time of reporting. 

WALB reports that one person was tragically killed in the accident. Officials with the Worth County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as a 39-year-old woman from Albany, Georgia. It is not clear whether the woman was a driver or a passenger in one of the vehicles. 

The report does not say whether anyone else sustained injuries in the wreck and does not list the total number of people involved. 

Both Georgia State Patrol and the Worth County Sheriff’s Office are reviewing the case and conducting an investigation. At the time that the news report was posted, detailed information regarding the crash and the investigation of the accident was not available. No further information was reported.
