Jogger Tragically Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in Boston, Massachusetts

BOSTON, MA. – According to an online news report posted at, a jogger was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident that occurred in Boston, Massachusetts. Police are looking for the driver involved in the collision and are asking the public to contact officers with any information that could lead to an arrest.*

The accident happened during the early morning in a neighborhood in Boston. The report gives little information regarding the circumstances of the accident but says that at about 6:15 a.m., a man was out for a job, when a white SUV ran into him. The force of the impact threw the jogger into a nearby yard, and the report says that a neighbor found him while coming out to get the morning paper. 

The make and model of the SUV were not reported, and it is not clear what events led to the collision. The report does not say if the man was jogging in the roadway or on a sidewalk at the time that the accident happened and does not provide any factors that might have contributed to the accident. It is unclear whether weather or visibility had anything to do with the collision. 

WCVB reports that the jogger was tragically killed in the accident. His age and location of residence were not reported, and his name is withheld from this story. 

No identifying information about the driver was reported. It is unclear how many people were in the vehicle. Authorities say that the driver was no longer on scene when they arrived. They have classified the case as a hit-and-run accident and are asking for the public to reach out with any information. Tipsters can phone in information directly to local police. 

The accident is still under investigation, and no additional information was included in the news report.
