Crash on Roseland Rd. in Sebastian, Florida, Results in One Fatality

SEBASTIAN, FL. – According to a news report posted online at, a crash that occurred on Roseland Road in Sebastian, Florida, resulted in one fatality. Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the wreck, and Troopers report that the victim was a passenger in the vehicle that crashed.*

The collision occurred during the early morning hours in the 12000 block of Roseland Road. Florida Highway Patrol and the Sebastian Daily report that at approximately 3:30 a.m., a 2012 white Dodge was traveling on the roadway and somehow left the lane of travel. The vehicle went off the roadway and then struck a tree, according to the news report. 

It is not clear at this time what caused the vehicle to travel off the road. Troopers who are investigating the accident have not cited any potential reasons for the crash or factors that they might be looking into as part of their review of the case. The model of the Dodge was not reported, and it does not appear that any other vehicles were involved in the accident. 

The Sebastian Daily reports that the passenger riding in the Dodge sustained critical injuries and was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. This person’s identifying information, including age and city of residence, were not included in the news report. 

The driver of the Dodge was also not identified in the report. He or she sustained injuries in the wreck, according to the Sebastian Daily, and emergency responders took him or her to Holmes Regional Medical Center for treatment. The extent of injuries and current condition of the driver were not reported. It does not appear that anyone else was inside the vehicle. 

Troopers are still investigating the crash, and at the time of the Sebastian Daily report’s publishing, no information about potential charges had been released.
