The accident happened in the early morning at a school bus stop on Verna Bethany Road by Gopher Hill Road. The passenger vehicle proceeded past the bus and struck a student who was trying to board.

The extent of the child’s injuries was not reported. The student was identified as a 14-year-old Lakewood Ranch High School student, but no other information about him or her was included in the news report.
