Three Teenagers Injured in Car Crash on Murfreesboro Pike in Nashville, Tennessee

NASHVILLE, TN. – According to a news report published online at, three teenagers were injured in a car crash that occurred on Murfreesboro Pike in Nashville, Tennessee. The Metro Nashville Police Department is investigating the case, and at this time, officers do not know what caused the crash.* 

The accident happened during the overnight hours at the crossing of Murfreesboro Pike with Una Antioch Pike. The Metro Nashville Police Department and News Channel 5 report that at about 1:30 a.m., a car was traveling in the area and somehow ran over a curb. The car then rolled over multiple times before coming to a stop. 

The make and model of the car were not included in the report. A photo taken at the scene and posted at the News Channel 5 website shows it was a black sedan or sports car. The vehicle is heavily damaged and make and model information cannot be discerned. It is not clear at this time what caused the vehicle to travel over the curb. Police officers did not provide information regarding suspected causes of the accident. 

News Channel 5 states that three people were in the car at the time of the crash, and all three sustained injuries. They were all described as teenagers, but their ages and cities of residence were not included in the news report. 

The report says that the driver of the car suffered critical injuries. The two passengers in the car sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to the report. They were all reportedly transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment. Current medical conditions were not provided. 

Police officers are still in the process of investigating this case. At the time the report from News Channel 5 was published, no additional information regarding the crash had been released to the media.
