August 06, 2019

NASHVILLE, TN. – According to a news report posted online at newschannel5.com, an explosion led to the evacuation of a hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. Officials have not yet released information on the type of explosion that took place or the circumstances surrounding the explosion. News Channel 5 reports that one person was injured.*

The explosion happened on a weekend afternoon at HomeTown Studios, which is located at 1210 Murfreesboro Pike in Nashville. HomeTown Studios is an extended stay hotel located by the Nashville airport.

The Nashville Fire Department received a call about an explosion at the hotel, and firefighters responded. The guests at the hotel were all evacuated, and fire officials said that one person sustained burn injuries in the incident. This person, who was not identified, was reportedly on the third floor of the building when the explosion occurred and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

It is not clear how many people were in the hotel when the blast happened. The news report does not say what kind of explosion occurred, what area of the hotel was involved, or what led to the explosion. Fire officials were still investigating at the time that the News Channel 5 report was posted online, and they had not made determinations about the origin of the blast.

No other injuries associated with the incident were reported. No statement from the hotel or staff was included in the news report.
