Man Tragically Dies in Car Accident on Holly Springs Church Rd. in Martin County, North Carolina

MARTIN COUNTY, NC. – According to a news report published online at, a man tragically died in a car accident that occurred on Holly Springs Church Road in Martin County, North Carolina. It is not clear at this time if the accident involved only the victim’s vehicle or if other vehicles were involved. The cause of the accident had not been determined at the time of the report.*

The crash happened in the evening somewhere in the area five miles outside of Williamston, North Carolina, on Holly Springs Church Road. North Carolina State Highway Patrol and WITN report that at around 8 p.m., emergency crews were called to the scene of a vehicle accident in the area. No cross street or landmark was reported, so the exact location of the collision is not clear. 

Authorities arrived to find that at least one person was seriously injured in the accident. At the time that the WITN report was posted online, it was not clear if this was a single-vehicle accident or if more than one vehicle was involved. No make or model information was included in the news report, nor was any type of vehicle description from Troopers. 

WITN reports that one person tragically died in the collision. He was identified by officials as a 35-year-old man from Williamston. No other injuries were immediately reported, and no one else who might have been involved in the accident was identified. It is not clear if the victim was alone in the vehicle.

North Carolina State Highway Patrol will be managing the case investigation, and Troopers did not immediately release information on the cause of the accident or the events surrounding the crash. It is not clear what circumstances led to the collision or what factors investigators might be looking into as contributors to the crash.
