Ceiling Collapse Tragically Kills a Man in High Point, North Carolina

HIGH POINT, NC – According to an online news report at, a man from High Point, North Carolina has died after a section of ceiling collapsed on him while he was painting the inside of a home.*

A man from High Point, North Carolina died after a ceiling collapsed on him as he was painting the inside of a house. The accident occurred on Ferndale Boulevard when the contractor was working in a two-story, single-family home. The owner of the home indicated that the contractor was a family friend who had made an offer to help them pursue renovations of their home.  

The victim had just started to paint the living room of the home when a section of the ceiling collapsed on him.  According to the 911 call, the owner of the house came home to find his friend buried under the rubble of the ceiling above him.  At this time, it was not clear to the owner how seriously the victim was injured nor what caused the roof to collapse.  Emergency crews, when they arrived at the home, had to remove the front door into order to enter the home.  

There are no further details on the accident at this time.  The accident remains under investigation by authorities.
