August 04, 2019

CHARLOTTE, NC. – According to a news story reported online at fox46charlotte.com, a head-on wreck that happened on Triple Creek Drive in Charlotte, North Carolina, tragically killed three people. The circumstances involved in the wreck are not completely clear from the report, and the accident is still being investigated by local authorities.*

The crash happened late in the evening close to McConnells Highway. Authorities and Fox 46 report that at about 10 p.m., a vehicle was traveling on the roadway and sideswiped another vehicle that was headed in the same direction. It is not clear what direction they were traveling at the time. It appears that the impact caused the first or the second car to hit a power pole, then crash head-on into a car that was bound in the opposite direction.

The news report did not indicate what led to the crash, and it is not clear from the report how the vehicles collided. The makes and models of the three vehicles were not reported, nor was any descriptive information about the vehicles. Investigators did not provide details about potential factors involved in the crash.

Fox 46 reports that the driver of the car that was hit head-on and a passenger in that car both tragically died from their injuries. The driver was identified as a 15-year-old resident of Tega Cay, North Carolina, and the passenger was identified as a 16-year-old resident of McConnells, North Carolina.

Fox 46 further reports that the driver of the first vehicle was also tragically killed in the accident. He was identified as a 29-year-old man from Blacksburg, North Carolina. The news report indicates that one additional person was seriously injured in the wreck and taken to a local hospital. This person was not identified. It is unclear how many people were involved in all.
