Deadly Single-Vehicle Wreck Reported on Lakeview Dr. in Fairfield Glade, Tennessee

FAIRFIELD GLADE, TN. – According to an online news report posted at, a deadly single-vehicle wreck was reported as occurring on Lakeview Drive in Fairfield Glade, Tennessee. The news report indicates that one person was tragically killed in the accident, and three other people sustained injuries.* 

The accident occurred in the early morning hours in the 400 block of Lakeview Drive. Tennessee Highway Patrol and 1057 News report that at approximately 3 a.m., a 2002 Oldsmobile (model not reported) was headed north on the roadway, when the vehicle somehow ran off the road. After traveling off the roadway, the Oldsmobile crashed into two trees, then hit a home before coming to a rest. 

It is not clear why the vehicle left the roadway — the news report only indicates that the driver of the vehicle lost control. The report does not say what might have led to the driver’s loss of control, but Troopers reportedly noted that the driver had consumed alcohol prior to the collision. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

1057 News reports that the driver of the Oldsmobile was injured in the wreck and taken by ambulance to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment. She was identified as a 25-year-old woman from Crossville, Tennessee. 1057 further reports that a passenger in the car was tragically killed in the accident. He was identified as a 19-year-old man from Crossville.

Two other passengers were also in the Oldsmobile at the time of the accident, and both were injured, according to 1057 News. They were identified as a 23-year-old man from Crossville and a 19-year-old resident of Crossville. The 23-year-old man was ambulanced to Cumberland Medical Center, while the 19-year-old passenger was airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center. 

The accident is still under investigation, and Tennessee Highway Patrol Troopers report that charges are pending.
