Pedestrian Hit by Brightline Train in Hollywood, Florida
HOLLYWOOD, FL – According to an online news report at local10news.com, a pedestrian fatally dies in an accident with a Brightline train earlier this week, per Hollywood authorities.*
A pedestrian was fatally hit by a Brightline train earlier this week at around 12 p.m. at South Dixie Highway and Harrison Street. As a result of the accident, police swarmed the area and blocked off the roads as they conducted their investigation. In the midst of the police presence, loved ones of the victim were witnessed crying as they watched police cover what appeared to be the body of the victim.
One individual was so upset at witnessing the accident that they were needed to be transported to an area hospital. The train was carrying passengers at the time of the accident and was headed southbound when the crash occurred. The train remained stopped at the accident scene for about 1 hour during the accident investigation.
