COLLETON COUNTY, SC. – According to a news story reported online at counton2.com, a head-on vehicle accident was reported on Bells Highway in Colleton County, South Carolina. The accident reportedly resulted in injuries to one person, who had been driving one of the vehicles involved in the crash.*

The collision took place sometime in the afternoon near Confederate Highway and Bells Highway in Colleton County. South Carolina Highway Patrol and News 2 report that a Ford Taurus was traveling on Bells Highway, while a GMC pickup truck (model not reported) was traveling on the highway in the same direction.

At some point in the roadway, one of the vehicles reportedly crossed over the centerline of the highway and struck the other vehicle head-on. It is not clear which of the vehicles departed from its lane of travel, and the news report did not say what led to the vehicle traveling into traffic bound in the opposite direction.
