Car Crash on Eastfield Rd. in Huntersville, North Carolina, Causes Serious Injuries

HUNTERSVILLE, NC. – According to an online news report posted at, a car crash that happened on Eastfield Road in Huntersville, North Carolina, caused serious injuries to one person. Little information about the accident has been released at this time, and the person who sustained injuries has not yet been identified. Investigation is ongoing.*

The accident occurred during the afternoon near Wallace Pond Drive and Eastfield Road in Huntersville. WBTV reports that the Huntersville Police Department was called to the scene of a traffic accident in the area and arrived to find that the accident had resulted in injuries. Officers did not immediately report detailed information about the crash.

It is not clear how many vehicles were involved in the accident, and no make or model information for any of the vehicles was reported. The news report did not say how the crash took place or what events might have led to the collision. 

It is not clear how many vehicles were involved in the crash, but WBTV states that one person was injured in the wreck. This person, who was not identified in the news report, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The person’s injuries were said to be life-threatening. A current medical condition for the person was not included in the news report. 

No additional injuries stemming from the wreck were reported. Police officers said that Eastfield Road was shut down after the crash to allow crews to access the scene for investigation. During this time, drivers were encouraged to avoid the area. It is not clear how long the road remained closed. 

The Huntersville Police Department is handling the accident investigation. It is not clear if any charges are anticipated in connection with the wreck. Officers had not released additional details at the time of the report.
