Pedestrian Airlifted Following Collision on U.S. 90 in Suwanee County, Florida

SUWANEE COUNTY, FL. – According to an online news report posted at, a pedestrian was airlifted away from an accident scene following a vehicle collision that occurred on U.S. Highway 90 in Suwanee County, Florida. Florida Highway Patrol will be in charge of the investigation, and Troopers have not yet released identifying information on the victim.*

The accident occurred close to the golf course on U.S. 90 in Suwanee County. Florida Highway Patrol and WCTV report that a pedestrian was walking somewhere in the area and was hit by a car. The events leading to the collision were not reported, so it is unclear where the pedestrian had been walking in relation to the highway. Authorities did not say if the pedestrian was attempting to cross the highway or was walking along the side of the road. 

The make and model of the car were not provided in the report, and the cause of the crash was not identified. It appears the accident happened on the eastbound side of the highway. Troopers have not said whether they have concluded who had the right-of-way when the accident took place. 

WCTV reports the pedestrian was injured in the collision, and emergency crews called for a medical helicopter. The pedestrian, who was not identified, was then airlifted away from the scene to a trauma center in the area. The extent of the victim’s injuries was not reported, nor was his or her current condition. 

The driver of the car was also not identified in the news report, and it is not clear if the driver was injured. The report did not say whether the driver was the only person in the car at the time of the crash. 

The crash caused traffic delays while crews investigated and cleared the area. Drivers were urged to use caution.
