Florida Pedestrian Deaths are Highest in the United States
Florida sees pedestrian deaths regularly, and presently has the highest number of pedestrian accident deaths, prompting many people to ask why the state is so much more dangerous than others for pedestrians. A key reason for why so many deadly pedestrian deaths happen in Florida is the poor design of intersections, which are made for the convenience of drivers more so than for the safety of pedestrians. Additionally, new roads and intersections are sticking with old designs that do not benefit pedestrian safety.
