Pedestrian Tragically Killed in Traffic Collision on Victory Dr. in Columbus, Georgia
COLUMBUS, GA. – According to an online news report posted at wtvm.com, a pedestrian was tragically killed in a traffic collision on Victory Drive in Columbus, Georgia. Authorities have identified the victim but have not released information about the driver of the vehicle that hit the victim. The accident is still under investigation, and it is not clear if charges will be filed.*
The collision happened in the late evening close to Border Drive on Victory Drive. The Columbus Police Department and WTVM report that at approximately 9:30 p.m., a vehicle ran into a pedestrian in the area. The circumstances of the accident were not fully reported. It is unclear what type of vehicle was involved, as no make or model for the vehicle was included in the report.
The news story did not say whether the pedestrian was walking in a lane of travel on Victory Drive or if she was walking somewhere else.
