Fatal Crash on MacArthur Causeway is being Investigated by the Miami Beach Police
MIAMI BEACH, FL – According to an online news report at wsvn.com, a fatal accident occurs on the MacArthur Causey in being investigated by the Miami Beach Police. As a result the westbound lanes of the roadway were blocked for several while law enforcement and emergency personnel.*
Friends and family of a 26-year-old man are mourning his death where he died in a violent accident on the MacArthur Causeway in Miami Beach, Florida. The accident also injured two people who were taken by ambulance to the hospital. The westbound lanes of the roadway were closed for a significant period of time, causing major traffic backups.
The accident occurred in the early morning, which caused serious damage to the victim’s vehicle. Per law enforcement, a Toyota Camry was at a stop sign and when the light turned green, a Ford Mustang was behind the Toyota Camry and rear-ended it. The Mustang rolled over a few times and came to rest past the Palm Island entry point, per a Miami Beach police officer.
The victim was a passenger in the Toyota Camry. Emergency personnel quickly transported him to a nearly hospital where he died as a result of the impact of the crash. The police officer noted that two others were sent to the hospital due to the violent nature of the accident.
“The driver of that Ford was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital. He is expected to be OK,” said the police officer. “Another passenger inside of that Toyota was also transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital expected to be OK. The driver of that Toyota – a lot of moving parts here – miraculously also OK and did not need to be transported.”
The names of the injury victims have not been released at this time. The accident remains under investigation. There are no further details on the accident.
