Woman Tragically Killed in Tractor Collision on CR 214 in Keystone Heights, Florida

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, FL. – According to an online news story published at, a woman was tragically killed in a tractor collision on County Road 214 in Keystone Heights, Florida. The news story indicates that two other people were injured in the accident, and Florida Highway Patrol is investigating to determine how the crash happened.* 

The accident took place in the late afternoon near Austin Road on County Road 214. Florida Highway Patrol and News 4 Jax report that a Ford F-150 was traveling on the roadway, while a tractor was traveling along the shoulder. The Ford somehow veered into the shoulder, striking the tractor.

It is not yet clear what caused the Ford to move outside of its lane of travel. Troopers did not provide information about the events surrounding the accident or what factors might have been involved in the collision. 

News 4 Jax reports that a passenger in the Ford was tragically killed in the accident. She was identified as a 71-year-old woman from Starke, Florida. News 4 Jax further reports that the driver of the Ford sustained injuries in the collision and was transported to a local hospital. He was identified as a 74-year-old man. His injuries were said to be critical. 

News 4 Jax also states that the person riding on the tractor was injured and taken to a hospital. He was identified as a 68-year-old man, and his injuries were said to be serious. 

Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident, and at the time of the news report’s publishing online, Troopers had not provided additional details.
