Pedestrian Dies in Accident on North Palafox Street

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, FL – According to an online news report at weartv.com, a man from Pensacola, Florida has died after he was struck by a vehicle on Palafox Street earlier this week.*

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in the early morning hours.  A man was driving on North Palafox Street close to Tower drive where he struck a thirty-one-year-old man who was attempting to cross the street. The state troopers indicate that poor lighting was the likely cause of the driver not seeing the pedestrian until it was too late.

There are no further details on the accident at this time.  The crash remains under investigation by the local police.
