31 Year Old Pedestrian Tragically Dies After Being Hit by Two Vehicles

BARTOW, GA – According to an online news report at theledger.com, a 31 year old man from Polk, Georgia died after police indicate that he was hit by two cars when attempting to cross United States Highway 17 earlier this week.*

A 31 year old man died after being hit by two vehicles while trying to cross United States Highway 17.    The man perished at the scene of the accident, per the Bartow Police Department.  The accident occurred when the man attempted to cross United States Highway 17 at Ernest Smith Boulevard, per police.  A driver going southbound swerved to try and avoid hitting the pedestrian but was unable to prevent the accident.  A second driver struck the man after he was hit by the first vehicle.  It is not expected that charges will be filed in this case.

There are no further details on the accident at this time.  The crash remains under investigation by the local police.
