Clayton County Officer Injured after Car Accident

RIVERDALE, GA – According to an online news report at cbs46.com, an officer with Clayton County was taken to an area hospital over the weekend after being in an automobile accident that also involved a pedestrian.*

The police officer was in the process of responding to an emergency.  As he went through the intersection of Highway 85 and Bethsaida Road, he was hit by a minivan.

Due to the impact of the accident, the officer’s vehicle spun into traffic that was oncoming and slammed into a second automobile The police officer as well as the operators of the other vehicles were taken to local hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.

There are no further details on the accident at this time.  The incident remains under investigation by local authorities.
