Construction Accident Reported on Abruzo Ave. in Boca Raton, Florida
BOCA RATON, FL. – According to a news story reported online at bocanewsnow.com, a construction accident was reported on Abruzo Avenue in Boca Raton, Florida. The circumstances of the accident are not completely clear at this time, though the news report indicates that one worker sustained injuries.*
The accident happened in the morning in Boca Bridges in the 17000 block of Abruzo. Palm Beach Fire Rescue and Boca News Now report that at approximately 8:30 a.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the scene on a report about a construction accident. Crews from the fire department reportedly responded first and found that a worker had fallen off of a ladder at a construction site.
The news report did not say what type of construction was taking place or what the worker was doing on the ladder prior to the fall. The report also did not describe the circumstances of or leading to the fall.
Boca News Now reports that the worker, identified only as a male adult, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries was not reported, nor was a current medical condition for the victim. It does not appear that anyone else was injured in the incident.
Boca Bridges, according to the report, is a new housing community that is located by Clint Moore, off of Lyons Road in Boca Raton. The accident at Boca Bridges is still under investigation. It is not clear if the Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will be launching an investigation of the accident.
