Deadly Vehicle Accident Occurs on I-77 in Rock Hill, South Carolina
ROCK HILL, SC. – According to a news report posted online by heraldonline.com, a deadly vehicle accident occurred on Interstate 77 in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The news report states that one person was tragically killed, and four other people sustained injuries in the accident.*
The collision took place in the early afternoon near mile marker 81 on I-77 North. It is unclear how many vehicles were involved in the accident, and no information was reported about the types of vehicles involved. The accident reportedly happened around 12:30 p.m., outside of Rock Hill. South Carolina Highway Patrol is handling the investigation, and Troopers have not yet said what caused the collision.
The report did not contain information about the nature of the crash or the events that transpired leading to the crash. The Herald reports that one person involved in the accident was tragically killed. South Carolina Highway Patrol Troopers reported that part of the interstate was closed down on the northbound side after the accident for more than an hour. Troopers are still in the process of investigating.
