Woman From Limestone County Tragically Dies in Highway 31 Accident in Tanner, Alabama

LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL – According to an online news report at al.com, a woman from Limestone County is dead after an accident that occurred in the early morning over the weekend.*

A woman from Limestone County is dead after a vehicle struck her on United States highway 31 in Tanner, Limestone County, per the county coroner.  The victim was a woman, aged 48, from Tanner, Alabama.

According to the county coroner, the woman left her vehicle after she noticed a plastic swimming pool on the roadway.  She walked to the rear of her vehicle when she was hit from another vehicle from behind. The driver of the vehicle that struck the woman was not reportedly injured in the crash.

There are no further details on the accident at this time.  The accident remains under investigation by local police.
