Pedestrian Struck in a Hit and Run Accident in Deerfield Beach, Florida

Police Conducting Search for Blue Nissan that was Involved in a Deadly Hit and Run Pedestrian Accident

BROWARD COUNTY, FL – According to an online news report at sun-sentinel.com, several eyewitnesses saw a fatal hit and run earlier this week that occurred in Deerfield Beach.*

A pedestrian was struck in a hit and run accident located in Deerfield Beach, Florida.  The hit and run accident involved a blue Nissan sports utility vehicle, per the Broward Sheriff’s Office.  The hit and run accident was observed at 9:42 p.m. on Tuesday. The hit and run driver was going down Sample Road on Interstate 95, per the sheriff’s office. 

The Nissan is described as blue and possibly a 2017 and 2019 and may have significant damage to the driver’s side front end, per traffic homicide detectives.  Witnesses note that the driver is believed to be middle aged. 

The man who was struck fell down while crossing Military Trail to get to his home in the 4300 block when he was struck.  The fifty four year old man was “not crossing the street in a designated pedestrian crosswalk,” per the sheriff’s office.  

The injured man was transported to a local hospital for treatment.  Tragically, the man succumbed to his injuries.
