Three Tragic, Fatal Collisions Happen in One Night in Florida’s Osceola, Volusia Counties

June 17, 2019

FLORIDA – According to a news report posted online at orlandosentinel.com, three tragic, fatal vehicle collisions happened in one night in Florida’s Osceola County and Volusia County. Florida Highway Patrol Troopers were called in to investigate all three accidents.*

The first collision took place at about 7:15 p.m. near the area of U.S. Highway 192 and Melbourne Highway in St. Cloud, Florida. Troopers report that a Ford pickup truck was traveling on U.S. 192 and crashed into the back of a van that had turned left onto the highway. The Ford traveled into the median after impact and rolled.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that a 25-year-old man was ejected during the wreck and tragically died in the accident. He had been driving the Ford truck. A 9-year-old girl in the truck with him sustained minor injuries.

About an hour later on the same night, a motorcycle was traveling in the area of U.S. 192 and Vineland Road in Kissimmee, Florida, when Troopers say a car made a U-turn into the motorcycle’s path. The two vehicles then collided. The driver of the car, which is believed to be a gray Ford Focus, reportedly left the scene.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that the motorcyclist, a 28-year-old man from Kissimmee, was tragically killed in the wreck after being ejected from the bike.

Later the same evening, a 2006 Toyota pickup truck was traveling north on Interstate 95 by Port Orange, Florida, and somehow left the roadway and crashed into a tree. The Orlando Sentinel states that a passenger in the truck, a 19-year-old man from Tallahassee, Florida, was ejected and tragically died in the wreck.

The driver of the truck, an 18-year-old man from New Smyrna Beach, Florida, was seriously injured and taken to Halifax Health Medical Center.
