Tragic Hit and Run Accidents Leaves Pedestrian Injured in Washington County
FALL BRANCH, TN – According to an online news report at wjhl.com, the Tennessee Highway Patrol is seeking help from the public regarding a hit and run accident that they are currently investigating.*
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is reaching out to the public to help find a hit and run driver. The accident occurred on United States Highway 11E close to Hilbert Circle in Washington County, Georgia.
A pedestrian was assisting with controlling traffic due to a crash when they were hit by a vehicle that is believed to be a gray or tan Kia Soul. The Tennessee Highway Patrol notes that the hit and run driver fled the scene going southbound on the roadway.
Police believe that the driver was male and had a female passenger in the vehicle.
The injured pedestrian, who is identified as a 66 year old man, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His status is currently not known.
There are no further details on the accident at this time. The incident remains under investigation by local authorities.
