Weekend Crash Causes Two People to Sustain Serious Injuries

MADISON COUNTY, FL – According to an online news report at wctv.tv, a serious crash causes two people to sustain serious injuries.*

Per the news report, two people were seriously injured in a crash that occurred over the weekend.  The accident happened on Interstate 10 SR8.  

Per the Florida Highway Patrol, a Hyundai Elantra was going eastbound on Interstate 10 in the outside lane while another vehicle, a Dodge Journey was parked in the shoulder of the roadway.

The front end of the Hyundai Elantra slammed into the rear of the Dodge Journey, causing the Dodge Journey to Turn around and move southeasterly into the grassy shoulder.  The drivers of both vehicles, a twenty five year old man and thirty seven year old man, were transported to a local Tallahassee hospital where they were treated for serious injuries.

The two passengers of the Dodge Journey were treated for only minor injuries.

Per eyewitnesses of the accident, it appears that the Hyundai Elantra was trying to pass the Dodge Journey before colliding.

The driver of the Hyundai Elantra is facing charges of careless driving.
