Single-Vehicle Crash on SR 216 in Calhoun County, Georgia, Tragically Claims Three Lives
CALHOUN COUNTY, GA. – According to a news report posted online at walb.com, a single-vehicle crash on State Road 216 in Calhoun County, Georgia, tragically claimed three lives. A fourth person is reportedly in critical condition following the accident, and Georgia State Patrol is reviewing the case to determine how the crash occurred.*
The accident occurred in the evening near mile marker 3 on State Road 216. Georgia State Patrol and WALB report that a vehicle was traveling on State Road 216 at about 5 p.m. and somehow crashed. The nature of the collision was not described, and the circumstances surrounding the crash were not reported. The make and model of the vehicle were also not reported.
The collision happened between Edison and Arlington, and Georgia State Patrol said that four people were riding in the vehicle at the time. WALB reports that three of the vehicle occupants were tragically killed in the accident. They were not identified by officials.
In addition, WALB states that another person was injured in the wreck and is currently in critical condition. It is not clear where the injured person was taken for treatment, and this person was also not identified.
