Deadly Two-Vehicle Accident Occurs on Hwy 90 in Robertsdale, Alabama

ROBERTSDALE, AL. – According to a news story reported online at, a tragic, deadly accident involving two vehicles occurred on Highway 90 in Robertsdale, Alabama. The news report states that two people were tragically killed in the crash, and several other people sustained injuries.*

The accident occurred during the evening by County Road 85 on Highway 90. The Robertsdale Police Department and WKRG report that a Jeep Wrangler and a Toyota Highlander somehow collided on the roadway. The details of the accident were not reported. It is unclear how the vehicles came to collide or what events might have led to the crash.

WKRG reports that six people were riding inside the Jeep at the time of the accident, and one of these people was tragically killed in the crash. WKRG also reported that a second person tragically died in the crash but did not say which vehicle this person had been riding in when the accident happened. 

In addition, the news report states that five people were injured and taken to nearby hospitals. Medical helicopters were called to the scene to transport some injured persons. The report does not say where any of the injured persons went for treatment. A pregnant woman was reportedly among the people injured.

According to the report, a power line fell after the accident, causing power outages in the area. The outages were expected to last several hours. Crews also closed down Highway 90 and County Road 85 to allow for investigation. No further information was included in the WKRG news story.
