Rollover Crash on U.S. 27 in Gadsden County, Florida, Leaves Two People Injured

June 08, 2019

GADSDEN COUNTY, FL. – According to a news report posted online at wctv.tv, a rollover vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 27 in Gadsden County, Florida, left two people injured. The news report says that one person was critically injured, and one person was seriously injured in the wreck, which authorities are still investigating.*

The accident occurred early in the morning near John Yawn Place on U.S. 27. Florida Highway Patrol and WCTV report that a Ford Focus was traveling on the highway when the driver of the car somehow lost control. The vehicle left the roadway and traveled into a ditch, according to Troopers.

The car then reportedly collided with a downed tree, which caused the roof to separate from the top of the vehicle. The Ford continued forward and hit an embankment, then struck several trees and rolled over. It came to a rest upside down. Troopers were not reported as having determined the reason for the driver’s loss of control or why the Ford left the roadway.

WCTV reports a passenger in the Ford, identified as a 23-year-old woman from Midway, Florida, was ejected during the crash and sustained serious injuries. WCTV further reports the driver of the Ford, identified as a 22-year-old resident of Tallahassee, Florida, was critically injured. Both were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

A third person who was riding in the Ford reportedly was not injured in the wreck, according to WCTV. Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating and had not reported further information at the time of the news report’s publishing.
