Tragic, Fatal Pedestrian Accident Occurs on East Eighth Ave. in Hialeah, Florida

HIALEAH, FL. – According to an online news story reported by local10.com, a pedestrian accident occurred on East Eighth Avenue in Hialeah, Florida, when a vehicle ran into a person crossing the street. The accident tragically proved fatal for the pedestrian, and the Hialeah Police Department is investigating the matter further.*

The accident took place in the early morning at the area of East Eighth Street and East Ninth Street in Hialeah. The Hialeah Police Department and Local 10 report that a pedestrian was walking in the area around 5:30 a.m. and tried to cross the roadway. It is not clear where the pedestrian had been walking, what direction, or whether she was inside of a crosswalk while trying to walk across the road. 

A vehicle ran into the pedestrian while she was in the roadway. No information about the vehicle was reported, including the make, model, or color. It is not clear why the accident happened, as the report did not contain detailed information about the collision or the potential caused of the collision. 

Local 10 reports that the pedestrian tragically died from her injuries. Police officers reported that she was a 38-year-old woman, and she was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. 

Identifying information about the vehicle driver was not included in the news report. The Hialeah Police Department is still in the process of completing its investigation into the accident. The report from Local 10 does not say whether officers anticipate charges to be filed in connection with the collision.
