Woman Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident on Access Road in Macon, Georgia

MACON, GA. – According to an online news story reported at wgxa.tv, a woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Macon, Georgia. The accident occurred on an unnamed access road in North Macon, and the woman was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of her injuries. The sheriff’s office is investigating.*

The car accident happened on an access road in Bibb County, Georgia, according to the report. Deputies with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office report that a Lexus sedan failed to stop at a stop sign at an unnamed intersection and ran into a Honda SUV that was on the access road. The models of the two vehicles were not reported. 

The nature of the collision was not described in the report from WGXA, nor were the circumstances leading to the crash. The report did not say what might have caused the Lexus driver to run the stop sign, and it is not clear what factors deputies might be investigating in regard to the cause of the accident. 

WGXA reports that the driver of the Honda was injured in the accident, and emergency responders transported her by ambulance to a hospital in the area for treatment. She was described only as a woman. Her injuries were reportedly non-life threatening. The report did not say whether she was the sole occupant of the Honda. 

It is unclear from the WGXA report whether the driver of the Lexus sustained injuries or whether any passengers were in the Lexus. This driver was not identified. Deputies with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office are still in the process of investigating the accident, and no information about the potential for charges was included in the report.
