Two-Vehicle Crash in Dodge County, Georgia, Tragically Causes One Fatality
DODGE COUNTY, GA. – According to an online news story reported at wgxa.tv, a two-vehicle crash that occurred in Dodge County, Georgia, tragically resulted in one fatality. The accident reportedly involved a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer, and investigators with Georgia State Patrol are still working to determine what happened.*
The accident took place in the afternoon on State Route 126 in Chester, Dodge County, Georgia. Georgia State Patrol Troopers and WGXA report that at approximately 1 p.m., a passenger vehicle (make and model not reported) was traveling on State Route 126. It is not clear what direction the vehicle was traveling.
Near the area of Carolina Street, the passenger vehicle somehow crashed into a tractor-trailer. The cause and circumstances of the accident were not reported. It is unclear if the accident was a rear-end collision or if the passenger vehicle hit the tractor-trailer in some other fashion.
WGXA reports that the driver of the passenger vehicle and a passenger in the same vehicle were both injured. The driver was reportedly flown to a hospital via AirEvac, and the passenger was transported to Dodge County Hospital for treatment. WGXA reports that the passenger tragically died at the hospital.
It is not clear if the driver of the tractor-trailer or anyone else in the tractor-trailer was injured in the crash. Georgia State Patrol continues to investigate, and at the time of the WGXA report’s posting online, no additional details regarding the crash had been released.
