Two Killed in Wrong-Way Vehicle Crash on State Road 429 in Orange County, Florida
ORANGE COUNTY, FL. – According to an online news report posted at clickorlando.com, two people were killed in a wrong-way vehicle crash in Orange County, Florida. Four vehicles were involved in the accident in total, and Florida Highway Patrol Troopers are still in the process of investigating the wreck.*
The accident occurred during the morning on State Road 429 in Orange County. Florida Highway Patrol and Click Orlando report that a LandRover was traveling on State Road 429, near mile marker 19. The LandRover was traveling in the median of the highway, according to the news report, and then entered the northbound lanes while headed south.
The LandRover then collided with a northbound Isuzu truck, which caused the Isuzu to overturn and roll onto the hood of a Chevrolet Cruze. The LandRover then collided with a Toyota Camry. Troopers have not yet released information about the cause of the accident or the circumstances leading to the accident. It is not clear why the LandRover was in the median and then entered the wrong lanes of travel.
Click Orlando reports that the drivers of both the LandRover and the Isuzu died as a result of the crash. The driver of the LandRover was identified as a 39-year-old man. The driver of the Isuzu was identified as a 30-year-old man. Their cities of residence were not reported.
Click Orlando also reports that the drivers of the Toyota and the Chevy were not injured. The Toyota driver was identified as a 38-year-old man from Davenport, Florida, and the Chevy driver was identified as a 27-year-old woman from Winter Garden, Florida.
