Truck Driver Charged in Fatal Crash on Interstate 75 in McDonough, Georgia

MCDONOUGH, GA – According to online news reports at and, a trucker from Ohio is being charged with a fatal accident that resulted in the death of four people from Dublin, Georgia.*

Four people from Dublin, Georgia are dead after a trucker from Ohio hit into them.  According to the Henry County Police Department, the trucker, a thirty nine year old man from Ohio, is facing charges for vehicular homicide, driving too fast for conditions, and making an improper turn.  The deceased individuals are a forty two year old man, a thirty one year old woman, a twenty six year old man, and a twenty year old man.

The accident involved two 18-weelers and another vehicle, which happened in a northerly direction close to Interstate 75 exit 155 at about 12:15 p.m.  The first tractor trailer slowed down as it was approaching building traffic.  A pickup truck behind it, which was a Chevy transporting a load of straw, also slowed down.   Shortly thereafter, a third vehicle, an 18-wheeler, rear-ended the Chevy pickup trick without appears to brake.  This resulted in a deadly “chain reaction accident,” which caused the death of four people.

As noted above, the trucker from Ohio is facing multiple charges for causing the accident. There are no further details on the accident at this time.  The accident remains under investigation.
