Driver Killed in Vehicle Accident in St. Cloud, Florida
ST. CLOUD, FL. – According to an online news story reported by positivelyosceola.com, a driver was killed in a vehicle accident in St. Cloud, Florida. The accident reportedly involved only one vehicle, and investigators are still working to determine the cause of the collision and the identity of the victim.*
The crash occurred early on May 19 on Narcoossee Road St. Cloud. Authorities and Positively Osceola report that sometime shortly after midnight, a 2013 Kia (model not reported) was headed north on Narcoossee Road. The vehicle was described as an SUV. At some point along the roadway, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle.
Following the driver’s loss of control, the Kia exited the roadway and crashed into a utility pole. It is not yet clear what caused the accident or what events led to the driver losing control of the vehicle. The news report did not say exactly where the accident occurred and did not provide a cross street near the accident site. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
Positively Osceola reports that after the crash, the SUV caught on fire, and the driver was killed. The victim has not yet been named, as the medical examiner is reportedly using dental records to determine the driver’s identity. It does not appear from the report that any passengers were in the Kia when it crashed.
Authorities are still in the process of investigating the collision, and at the time of the Positively Osceola report, they had not provided further information about the circumstances of the accident.
