Man Dies in Accident on Interstate 75 Accident in Macon
MACON, GA- According to an online news report at wgxa.com, a single vehicle accident leads to the death of a man on Interstate 75 southbound.*
A man is dead in a single vehicle accident on Interstate 75 at the exit ramp of Eisenhower Parkway. The accident happened right before 5 a.m and the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has completed its investigation of the accident.
Upon review of the accident, local officials indicate that a twenty nine year old woman who was an occupant was not the driver of the vehicle. The actual driver was a 25 year old male, per a press release by local authorities. The driver had apparently lost control of his vehicle and drove into the woods. The vehicle then became engulfed in flames due to the impact of the crash.
There were several people that assisted the victims in getting out of the vehicle. Per the local coroner, a male victim was pronounced dead at the Grady Burn Center in Atlanta at approximately 2:50 a.m.
The female passenger was transported to Navicent hospital where she is in stable condition. She was released from the hospital on Thursday, May 16, 2019.
