Vehicle Crash in Davie, Florida, Results in One Fatality
DAVIE, FL. – According to an online news report posted at sun-sentinel.com, a vehicle crash that occurred in Davie, Florida, resulted in a fatality. In addition, according to the report, one person was seriously injured in the wreck. Both of the victims were reportedly thrown from their vehicle during the collision.*
The accident occurred on State Road 84 in Davie. Shortly before sunrise that morning, a car was traveling east on State Road 84 near Marina Mile. In the 3200 block of the roadway, the car somehow crashed into a guardrail, then turned over and came to a stop in the median of the road.
It is not clear at this time how the accident happened, and authorities have provided little information about the circumstances preceding the wreck. The make and model of the car were not included in the news report. Police did not mention any other vehicles being involved.
The Sun Sentinel and the David Police Department report that two people in the vehicle, including the driver and one passenger, were ejected during impact. The Sun Sentinel states that one of the victims was killed in the crash, and the other was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Neither person was identified in the report. It does not appear anyone else was in the car.
The area around the crash scene was closed by responding officials, and drivers were diverted onto Canal Drive. The area remained closed until about 10 a.m. that day. The Davie Police Department is still investigating the accident at this time.
