14-Year Old Liberty County Girl Dies Two Weeks After Accident That Killed Her Mother
LIBERTY COUNTY, GEORGIA – According to an online news article published by www.wsav.com, a 14-year old girl has died from her injuries two weeks following an accident that killed her mother.*
Just last month, a mother and her children collided head-on in an accident on Highway 17 in Midway. The accident happened when their vehicle was struck from behind and pushed into oncoming traffic. The 14-year-old daughter, along with two brothers and one sister, were passengers in the vehicle. The mother’s injuries were catastrophic, and she was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Liberty County Coroner, the 14-year-old daughter, whose injuries were severe, passed away on May 11, 2019, approximately two weeks following the accident. The daughter had been receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at Memorial Hospital in Savannah. The two brothers and sister survived the accident with only minor injuries.
Given the severity of the 14-year-old girl’s injuries, she was likely sitting in the front seat of the vehicle at the time of the head-on collision. Additionally, the three other siblings were likely sitting in the backseat of the vehicle at the time of the accident as they only sustained minor injuries. However, specific details about the accident are not reported in the article published by www.wsav.com.
