Woman Hospitalized After Multi-Vehicle Accident in Albany, Georgia

ALBANY, GA. – According to an online news report posted at, a woman remains hospitalized after a multi-vehicle accident in Albany, Georgia. Little information about the wreck has been released by authorities at this time, and the woman has not been identified. One other person was taken to a hospital and has since been released from treatment, according to the report.*

The crash took place on April 27 at an intersection in Albany. At approximately 6 p.m., Georgia State Patrol responded to a vehicle accident at the crossing of South Slappey Boulevard and Oakridge Drive. The nature of the accident was not described in the WALB report, and it is unclear how many vehicles were involved. 

The news report does not name any makes or models of the vehicles involved. However, photos taken at the scene and posted to the WALB website show that at least two vehicles were involved. One was a red SUV, and the other was a white truck. Both vehicles had significant damage visible in the photos. The SUV is damaged on the front end, while the truck is damaged on the passenger’s side.

WALB reports that a 44-year-old woman was injured in the crash and taken to a local hospital for treatment. Her name was not released, and the report says she is still in the hospital. She was the driver of one of the vehicles. 

WALB also reports the other driver was also injured and taken to a nearby hospital. This driver, a juvenile, has since been released, according to the news report. The report says Troopers have indicated that citations will be issued in connection with the incident.
