29-Year-Old Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash in Gadsden County, Florida
GADSDEN COUNTY, FL. – According to an online news story reported at wctv.tv, a 29-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Gadsden County, Florida. Troopers with Florida Highway Patrol have released identifying information about the victim, but the driver of the other vehicle has not yet been identified.*
The collision took place in the morning on April 21 on Hardaway Highway in Gadsden County. Florida Highway Patrol and WCTV report that at approximately 7:35 a.m., a Suzuki GSX-R motorcycle was traveling westbound on Hardaway Highway. At the same time, a Toyota Tundra truck was traveling eastbound on the highway.
Near Woodrow Butler Road, the Toyota attempted to make a left-hand turn and pulled in front of the motorcycle. Florida Highway Patrol reports that the motorcyclist attempted to brake to avoid an accident but could not stop in time. The two vehicles then collided.
WCTV reports that the motorcyclist was fatally injured in the wreck, and officials pronounced him dead at the scene. He was identified as a 29-year-old man from Chattahoochee, Georgia. Troopers stated he was not wearing a helmet when the wreck occurred.
The driver of the truck was reportedly not injured in the accident. He or she was not identified in the WCTV news report. Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, and Troopers stated that charges were pending. At the time the WCTV report was published, Troopers did not know whether alcohol played a role in the collision.
The victim’s family stated he was a giving person who enjoyed making people laugh. He was also engaged to be married, the family said.
