Tractor-Trailer Overturns on Interstate 675 in Clayton County, Georgia
CLAYTON COUNTY, GA. – According to a news story posted online at cbs46.com, a tractor-trailer overturned on Interstate 674 in Clayton County, Georgia. The cause of the accident is not yet known, but officials who responded to the scene reported that at least one person sustained injuries in the incident.*
The crash reportedly involved multiple vehicles and caused part of I-675 to shut down on the southbound side in Clayton County. It took place by the exit to Anvil Block Road, and authorities said the exit ramps to I-675 from Interstate 285 West and I-285 East were closed as a result. It is not clear how the crash took place, but CBS 46 says a tractor-trailer was involved.
Due to the impact, the tractor-trailer overturned on the roadway. Crews were working at the scene to try to turn the rig back over, and they needed full access in the southbound lanes. At one point, the roadway reopened but was then shut down again when a tow truck arrived. It is not clear how long the interstate was closed or how long crews worked at the scene.
