Woman Killed in Three-Car Crash in Limestone County, Alabama

LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL. – According to a news report posted online at, a woman was killed in a three-car crash that took place in Limestone County, Alabama. The cause of the accident is not yet known. According to the news report, three other people sustained injuries in the wreck.* 

The wreck happened on the night of April 20, though the report from The News Courier does not say what time. Emergency crews were called to the scene of a traffic crash at U.S. Highway 31 and Moyers Road in Limestone County, where they found that three vehicles had somehow been involved in a collision. The makes and models of the three vehicles were not included in the report. 

Authorities did not say how the crash occurred or what circumstances contributed to the collision. They did not identify any factors that might have been involved and did not describe the way in which the vehicles came to collide.

Officials and The News Courier confirmed that one person was killed in the accident. The Limestone County Coroner’s Office identified this person as a 29-year-old woman from Athens, Alabama. 

The News Courier also reports that three other people were injured in the crash. They were not identified in the report. One of the people was transported by emergency crews to Huntsville Hospital, and the other injured persons were transported to Athens-Limestone Hospital. Their current medical conditions and the extent of their injuries were not reported. 

Authorities are still investigating the wreck. At the time the report from The News Courier was posted, no further information had been provided to the media.
