One Person Ejected During Vehicle Crash in Savannah, Georgia

SAVANNAH, GA. – According to an online news report posted by, one person was ejected during a vehicle crash that took place in Savannah, Georgia. This person was reportedly injured in the wreck. Little additional information about the accident was included in the report from WTOC.*

The accident occurred sometime in the evening on Saturday, April 20, but the report posted by WTOC does not name a specific time. The collision took place in the northbound lanes of Ogeechee Road in Savannah, by the Berwick area Kroger store. The news report from WTOC does not say how many vehicles were involved, nor does it provide the make or model of any vehicle involved. 

The nature of the collision and the events leading to the collision were also not included in the report. It is unclear what might have caused the accident. Authorities said that one person was ejected from a vehicle, and WTOC reports that this person sustained injuries. 

The person was not identified, and the report did not say where the person was taken for treatment. It is not clear if the person was wearing a seat belt, and the report did not say whether he or she was a driver or a passenger. 

The report does not say if anyone else was injured. It is unclear how many people were involved in the accident in total. The Savannah Police Department and other emergency agencies responded to the scene, and crews closed down all of the northbound lanes on Ogeechee Road and one of the southbound lanes. WTOC reports that Georgia State Patrol is taking the lead on the investigation.
