Husband, Wife Killed in Vehicle Accident in Bibb County, Georgia
BIBB COUNTY, GA. – According to a news report posted online at wgxa.tv, two people were killed in a vehicle accident in Bibb County, Georgia. The two victims were husband and wife. It is unclear at this time how the accident happened, and the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.*
The accident took place on the afternoon of April 21, though the report from WGXA does not specify the time of the collision. Authorities say a vehicle was traveling south on Interstate 75 in Bibb County and somehow crashed near the exit to Eisenhower Parkway. The official cause of the accident has not been determined. However, investigators believe it might have been prompted by a medical emergency.
The nature of the collision was not described in the news report. A photo taken at the scene and posted to the WGXA website indicates that the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree. The make and model of the vehicle was not included in the report, but the photo shows it was a white or silver SUV.
WGXA reports one person who was inside the vehicle suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office. It is unclear if he was the driver or a passenger in the vehicle. WGXA also reports that another person was transported to Navicent Medical Center in stable condition, but she died later that evening. WGXA says the two victims were husband and wife.
