April 19, 2019

CARTERSVILLE, GA. – According to a news report posted online at, a head-on vehicle collision caused one fatality in Cartersville, Georgia. The two drivers involved in the accident have both been identified, but investigators have not yet released information about the cause of the accident.*

The accident took place in the afternoon on April 16 on Highway 41 in Cartersville. Georgia State Patrol and Coosa Valley News report that at approximately 1 p.m., a 2017 Ford Fusion was headed southbound on Highway 41, while a 2004 Jeep Liberty was headed northbound on the same roadway.
